The Union Street Clubhouse offers before and after school programs for busy parents that need a safe environment for their children to go before and after school days.

ABC Program is an academic initiative that provides enrichment tutoring and intervention strategies for active Club members. The three main components of the ABC Program include Attendance, Behavior, and Course Evaluation. This partnership with the Manchester School District reviews each enrollee’s records on a daily basis, identifies members at risk, and provides a direct case management strategy for identified members.
The Art Program, connected to STEAM, encourages kids to expand their creative palette, and freely express themselves without judgment. They dive into a wide variety of fine arts, from painting with acrylics, crafting a house, to collaging. Along with the guided craft, the kids can help themselves to free drawing and painting.
The Athletics Program provides a space for members to be physically active. The gym runs activities that foster a healthy competitive spirit and teamwork. The goal is to provide an inclusive and safe environment for members to be physically active and have fun!
The Performing Arts Program teaches members different elements of performing arts, including singing, acting, and dancing. Members will learn various dance genres, receive vocal coaching, and exposure to acting techniques. This program encourages members to be confident, expressive, creative and inspired.
The STEAM Lab is filled with computers and electronics, Legos and engineering set, print and design elements, and art projects that range from easy to complex. Members are given the chance to explore time-tested fun activities as well as the newest innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. It is important to expose kids to all of these topics so that they can practice existing skills as well as explore new ones.
The Zen Den helps members navigate the daily challenges that may arise. This is achieved through self-regulation in a safe, healthy, and calming space. The room is also used with community partners to help strengthen social-emotional skills and overall mental health.

With the assistance of the Education Department Staff and a team of dedicated volunteers, members have access to academic guidance, support, and resources that would otherwise be unavailable. They are encouraged to discover new interests as they improve their academic performance in a space intentionally designed to meet their social, emotional, and educational needs.

*The Club is open until 8pm for Tweens/Teens from Monday, September 30 – Friday, April 25. All other dates, the Club is open until 7pm.

Monday-Friday: 6:15 AM – 8:00 AM
Please have your child here no later than 8:00 AM as Students are transported to school by Boys & Girls Club of Manchester.

The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester offers a before-school program for grades K-8. The program is located at our Union Street Clubhouse and is staffed by Boys & Girls Club program leaders under the direction of our Director of Operations, Antonio Feliciano. The program is open to students from the following schools: McDonough, Weston, Wilson, Northwest, Gossler, Parker Varney, Jewett, Webster, Beech Street, Bakersville, Highland-Goffe’s Falls, Green Acres, Parkside, Hillside, McLaughlin, and Southside.
Planned program activities include gym, homework time, games room, and general activities. A light breakfast will be served each day. The program begins on the first day of school in September and ends in June.
