6/6/24 – Boys & Girls Club of Manchester (BGCM) is grateful for the Fun Grant from Tabletop Tycoon, an independent game company located in New Hampshire. Through the Fun Grant, Boys & Girls Club of Manchester received prizes, puzzles, games, toys, and token gift cards for kids and their families to enjoy at the arcade in Manchester. In addition, Tabletop Tycoon donated three Legend Arcade machines which have been dedicated to the Teen area and Camp Foster.
Dan Yarrington, President & CEO of New Hampshire based Tabletop Tycoon, speaks to how great board games are for connecting people. He and his team put a lot of effort and research into exploring what qualities in tabletop games help them connect with their target audiences. Dan and his wife Sara toured BGCM and wanted to find a way to support the kids at the Club, and the Fun Grant was their solution.
“We are fortunate to have generous individuals and businesses like Dan, Sara, and Tabletop Tycoon in our community,” says Diane Fitzpatrick, BGCM CEO. “It’s opportunities like these that our kids don’t always get to experience, but with kindness and generosity, the possibilities are endless.”
This Fun Grant has not only provided BGCM with countless hours of fun, but Dan and his team have also opened the doors of their Manchester arcade to our members. Our STEM Director Keith has and will continue to arrange for the kids to experience awesome field trips to Tycoon Arcade.
“I was fortunate enough to receive so much from others when I was young. I’ll never forget what those gifts meant to me,” says Yarrington. “This Fun Grant allows us to share the joy and wonder of discovering games and help give to those in need.”
Dan and his team have expanded the Fun Grant to all the Boys & Girls Clubs in New Hampshire! The goal is to provide fun and resources to the children in our communities.
