9/18/24 – The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester hosted our fall Speaker Series Luncheon on Wednesday, September 18, at the Clubhouse. This session featured Jessica Buchanan, a teacher, sister, wife, mother, author, speaker, coach, and survivor. Her story of being held hostage by Somali pirates captivated an audience of more than 130 guests. Throughout her presentation, she shared stories of her life before captivity, her experience, and how she is using what she learned after being rescued with other survivors to help them share their own stories.
